The Organising Committee is delighted to invite abstracts for paper and poster presentations. This is an excellent opportunity for postgraduates and practicing anaesthesiologists to present quality scientific material on a bigger stage.

Presentation Categories

• Award paper presentation for Post Graduates.
• Award poster presentation for Post Graduates.
• Free paper presentation for Post Graduates.
• Free poster presentation for Post Graduates.
• Award paper presentations for Practitioners/Consultants.

General Guidelines

• ISA membership (Life/Associate) is mandatory for abstract submission.
• Conference registration is mandatory for abstract submission.
• Up to a maximum of three authors can be involved in a paper and two authors for a poster. Only the first author will be the presenter. Any award won will be given only to the first author.
• The abstract must be original and should not have been presented elsewhere earlier.
• No published papers/posters will be allowed.
• One delegate can submit two abstracts of different kinds, i.e., a Paper and a Poster.
• The review committee reserves the right to consider the paper/poster for the award category depending on the merit of the abstract submitted.
• All abstracts must be accompanied by a bonafide certificate from the Head of the Department.
• The number of award poster entries (Podium presentation) will be limited to 24 with following divisions
  1. 12---- In category of “Core Anaesthesiology”
  2. 12----In category of “Pain, Palliative care and Critical care”
• The no of award poster entries will be limited to to 24 with the following divisions
  1. 12---- In category of “Core Anaesthesiology”
  2. 12----In category of “Pain, Palliative care and Critical care”
• All abstracts have to be submitted online only.
• Last date for submission of abstract for paper and poster presentation is June 10 2025.
• All the abstract submissions (paper and poster) should be with the filled in attachment of following details:
  1. Presenting Author Name:

  4. Mobile no of presenting author
  5. Institute/Medical College
  6. Bonafide certificate submitted: Yes/No

• All correspondence will be done with presenting author only
• Time duration of podium presentations:
  1. Award paper: 10 minutes (8 minutes’ presentation+2 minutes questioning)
  2. Award poster: 6 minutes (4 minutes’ presentation+ 2 minutes questioning)
  3. Free paper: 5 minutes (4 minutes’ presentation+ 1-minute questioning)
  4. Free poster: 3 minutes ( 2 minutes presentation+ 1 minute questioning)

Abstract Guidelines for Paper Presentation

1. Only original research papers can be considered for paper presentation.
2. Case reports are not considered for paper presentation. However, series of cases can be taken into consideration.
3. Abstract should be limited to not more than 300 words.
4. Abstract should include:
   • Title
   • Background and Objectives of the study
   • Material and Methods
   • Results
   • Conclusion
   • One table/figure as applicable
   • Two references in Vancouver style
5. Authors' names to be included below the title.
6. Word limit of 300 words excludes names of authors, references, table/figure.
7. Abstract should be prepared using Times New Roman font except references:
   • Title – Size 14
   • Body – Size 12
   • References – Vancouver style, Size 10
   • Authors' names – Times New Roman, Size 10

Poster Presentation Guidelines

1. All posters accepted would be e-posters only. No physical poster presentations are allowed.
2. Original research, case study, case series are accepted.
3. Poster to be limited to one page of Word document or one slide of PowerPoint.
4. Top of the poster should display “Title of the poster” in Times New Roman font size 14.
5. Authors' name(s) should be in Size 10.
6. Right-hand corner should have the Institute logo, and the left-hand corner should have the ISA logo.
7. Layout in portrait style, body including text, data, photos, and figures must be designed to appear in one window using Times New Roman font size 10.
8. All posters must be legible with a logical layout and should be self-explanatory.
9. A single reference may be added in Vancouver style, size 10.

Guidelines for Practitioners/Consultants

1. May submit abstracts only for paper presentation.
2. Limited only to ISA members who have registered for the conference.
3. Only original research paper would be allowed.
4. Three authors are allowed for one paper submission, but only the first author would be the presenting author.
5. The paper should not have been presented or published earlier.
6. Approval of the ethics committee (Institute proper/Affiliated medical college) should be obtained, and only papers with ethics committee approval would be considered.
7. No abstract submitted online after June 10 2025 will be accepted.
8. Along with abstract submission, the following details must be uploaded:

14. Out of the abstracts received, scrutiny would be done to select the best 6 papers, who will be given a chance for podium presentation.
15. Each podium presentation would be for a total time of 15 minutes (10 minutes presentation and 5-minute questioning).
16. The best presentation would be a combination of the scientific material in the paper and the manner of podium presentation.

3. Best paper (post graduates) in pain medicine awarded by Tirupati city branch.
4. Best post graduate paper in critical care - Award in the name of Dr. Kailasanath Reddy sir sponsored by ISA AP (old students of sir).
5. Best paper by a practicing Anaesthesiologist sponsored by Visakhapatnam city branch.
6. TN JHA Award: Best post graduate paper in Anaesthesiology will be sent to the national conference to compete for the TN JHA Award.
